"You get what you think about, whether you want it or not. You draw to you whatever you're predominantly thinking about. If you're predominantly thinking about your desires, your life experience will reflect those things. If you're thinking about what you lack, your life experience will reflect that." ― Abraham [channeled by Esther Hicks]

Esther and Jerry were in Phoenix, Arizona when they had their first spiritual session with Sheila, a medium, and her non-physical spirit guide named "Theo." Sheila asked them if they wanted to know the name of Esther's spiritual guide. When they agreed, Theo said Esther will have a clairaudient experience during meditation and that's when Esther will know her spirit guide's name.
During their first meditation, Jerry and Esther set a timer for 15 minutes for meditation. Esther felt numb each time. She felt numbness every time for 9 months. Then, during one of the meditation sessions, Esther noticed she was writing letters in the air with her nose. It spelled "I AM ABRAHAM."
Abraham is not one person. Abraham is a collective consciousness, a group, speaking with one voice through Esther. They are offer blocks of thoughts, like radio signals, for Esther to translate. "Abraham" is Esther's spiritual guide.
Since 1986, Esther and Jerry traveled around the world to spread the teachings of Abraham through workshops.
